The Third Place

Li há uns dias, na revista do ACP, que a Vectrix tinha agora um representante em Portugal. Para quem não sabe, a Vectrix fabrica… motos(?), motociclos(?) (nunca sei o termo certo), eléctricos. O ano passado já tinha descoberto um stand, em Lisboa, que vendia umas scooters eléctricas made in China, com um preço muito simpático, mas que não estavam homologadas em Portugal e ficaram na lista “ver mais tarde”. Agora com esta noticia das Vectrix, o interesse voltou. O preço é bastante menos simpático (+-€10000) mas, segundo o artigo, basta ter uma carta de condução B e a manutenção é zero, por isso talvez valha a pena.

After the last cheat sheet, and since I’ve been using Vi, I searched for some Vi cheat sheets. Here’s what I found and my opinions on them:

• http://www.devdaily.com/unix/edu/ – straight simple, my favorite
• http://www.sm.luth.se/csee/courses/smd/139/smd139_vi.pdf – also very simple, but two pages long
• http://www.kcomputing.com/vi.html – a more graphic layout, can be confusing
• http://ploug.eu.org/doc/l-vi-a4.pdf – a full tutorial so you can make your own cheat sheet

Anyway, I hope that on the next trip, if there is one, the photos will have more quality, as I’m hoping to get my hands on a P990i.

A página do jornal OJE mudou e, consequentemente, tive que actualizar as regras para captura do feed (para fazer a enclosure do .pdf). Quanto à actualização da página deles, não posso dizer que tenha sido para melhor… Aquele flash todo põe-me isto tudo lento.

I’m setting up a web page for a client, and since they don’t want to spend much money, their online booking system is going to be outsourced. What I did find is that there are actually some pretty nice options on the subject:

• Yourbooking.com
• Easy Booking Service

My choice went to yourbooking.com, because it’s simple, good looking and they use open-source software. There are probably more options around, but I think that for now, this are the best.
