I’m a big fan of Symbian and UIQ3, so I was very happy when I found Bergamot.

In their words:

The Bergamot Project produces high quality free and open source software for the Symbian mobile phone platform used by Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, and Samsung.

Unfortunately:

As the Symbian environment is presently undergoing significant changes, we are shifting the project’s focus from the UIQ user interface towards S60, which will be the basis for the coming Symbian OS.

Still, I’ve been using Escarpod (a podcatcher) under UIQ3, and it works really well.

O Luís fez a ultima edição do Armário Das Calças.

Para quem não conhecia o Armário, era um dos podcasts mais antigos em Portugal, ainda em funcionamento, e o Luís resolveu dar-lhe um fim condigno (ao contrário de certos e determinados podcasts), e é com prazer que lhe chamo “amigo” (ao Luís).

Luís, muito obrigado por estes anos de música estranha. Espero voltar a ouvir-te brevemente. Podcast diferente, a mesma voz.

Epá, um podcast de um jornal pressupõe uma boa dose de profissionalismo. Então porque é que, na última edição, o player que têm na página toca as coisas estilo “chipmunk“? É só gravarem com uma frequência de amostragem diferente, calculo eu que tenha de ser um múltiplo qualquer de 11.025 kHz, ou seja, 11.025 kHz, 22.050 kHz ou 44.100 kHz.

Há quem diga que o Blitzkrieg Bop está de volta. Eu não sei, porque não disse nada…
